Seeing the Northern Lights is magical. This is especially true far up north, where the sky dances in brilliant colours. However, they have also been spotted several times recently in Switzerland. Heinz Hofer is a physicist and an avid stargazer. He has spent years travelling to see the Northern Lights, observing and photographing this fascinating natural phenomenon. His impressive photographs and videos bring these spectacular journeys and the fascinating world of the aurora borealis to life. But how do the Northern Lights form? What processes in the Sun and Earth's atmosphere are responsible for them, and how was this mysterious phenomenon first discovered? Immerse yourself in a natural spectacle that never ceases to enchant. The lecture will be held in German.
