Guided tour of the younger part of the village of La Punt and Chamues-ch, which was only established in the early 17th century with the emergence of trade activity on the Albula Pass.
On this walking tour, you'll discover the old part of La Punt Chamues-ch, which developed in the 17th century as a result of trade across the Albula Pass. Beautiful farmhouses in Chamues-ch and grand patrician houses in La Punt demonstrate the village's former importance. Highlights include the Chesa Merleda with its white battlements, the village's landmark, and the Church of San Andrea, which blends old and new elements. You'll also hear the fascinating story of Adam da Chamues-ch, who liberated the Upper Engadine. Registration and meeting point: La Punt Tourist Information.
