Herzschlaufe Seetal

During the first day of the trip, the «Herzschlaufe Seetal» passes the monastery Eschenbach right after the beginning. The route then changes into small paths, where cyclists are surrounded by high trunk cultures. Soon it is possible to get to the »Johanniterkommende Hohenrain«, with stunning views over the Alps and Lake Baldegg.

The route becomes steeper and steeper and slowly leads over the Lindenberg. On top of the secluded plateau, the Horben Castle with chapel and farm suprises the guests. After a brief passage in the forest, the height route begins. Cyclists will go through pretty villages and generous landscape and enjoy the view of Lake Hallwil.

Again they will be surprised by a castle (Hilfikon), which traps visitors with its noble sphere in an unexpected place. Trough a forest you'll get to Seengen and will soon see the great moated castle Hallwyl. You'll only get a glimpse of the tourist hustle, then the route disappears in the cozy forest and follows the lively Aabach river direction Lenzburg.

Starting from proud city of Lenzburg and the neighboring Staufen, the quiet path finds a loophole just after Seon, which results in a magical forest. At the end of the wood the Liebegg castle appears as if in a dream. The track once again disappears in the green of the Aargau area and reappears only on the top of Bööler, where you overlook the vast land.

A schuss leads to Schlossrued. Thereafter, a ridge has to be climbed again, where you'll cycle for long periods without seeing villages or traffic. Only in Beromünster you'll be back to known locations and will be able to enjoy the magnificent Landflecklein.

The route leads back away from traffic and to the golf court Sempachersee, where you can take a break and enjoy the magnificent views of Mount Pilatus. Shortly afterwards, the loop joins the regional routes 94 and 99 (Heart Route). From here it is only a short hop to Eschenbach.
