The burbling Turnigla brook, the Flem gorge, snow-covered fields, the mystical forest around Bot la Cresta hill – and, of course, charming Cresta Lake keep the winter hikers fascinated along their way.
Description
The hiking trail starts in Trin Mulin. The burbling Turnigla mountain brook accompanies the hikers from the beginning until it joins the Flem River in Sur Aua. The path continues across beautiful terraced plateaus as you approach the hill named Bot la Cresta. This area is very popular with cross-country skiers.
Suddenly, it is darker and quieter as you move toward Lag la Cresta through the forest, which gives off a mystical feeling. Lake Cresta with its crystal-clear water is beautifully nestled in a forest clearing. In the summer, the meadow sloping down in southern direction is packed with visitors who come here to swim in the lake. But now it is deserted, brightly glistening under the winter sun.
Another attraction follows immediately: If you look across the lovely stone bridge, you will see the gorge down below. It was carved out by the Flem River on its way to the Rhine. Continuing across the gently sloping meadows of Nigluz, the hike ends back in Trin Mulin. This loop trail can be easily reached by postbus. As an alternative, parking is available in the east and south of Trin Mulin.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
