Intro

The Moesano Museum Foundation and the Calanca Regional Archive propose an experiential walk in Giova (Buseno) on the occasion of the “Swiss Night Hike”.

The walk, which will take place on June 27, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM, will follow the Carasole-Lucc-Giova route on the way out and the Giova-Lotan-Carasole route on the return, guided by Cinzia Fibbioli Rigotti. In Giova, Marco Marcacci, historian and former co-president of the Moesano Museum, will present the history of Giova and its former school building, which has been unused since 1952. Following this, Nicola Castelletti, architect and member of the museum's board of directors, will lead a guided tour of the modern church of Our Lady of Fatima, designed by architects Mario Campi and Franco Pessina and built between 1984 and 1988. Refreshments will be offered to participants at the end of the visits. The Swiss Night Hike was established in 2006 by the Swiss Hiking Association and in 2026 will be held for the 20th time. Independent organizers propose group-guided hikes throughout Switzerland during a summer night close to the full moon, as determined by Swiss Hiking, offering participants a truly unique night hiking experience. Detailed program and registration: Participation is free, but registration is required by June 21, 2026, at info@museomoesano.ch or on the portal www.notte-escursionistica.ch. The detailed program is available at www.museomoesano.ch / www.archiviocalanca.ch
