Staying on a farm is a memorable experience! A gentle blend of idyllic and rural Switzerland. Taking part in farm life brings you closer to nature while discovering a whole new world.
There are many good reasons to plan a farm holiday, but for me, the most important of these was having the opportunity to experience the most idyllic and rustic side of Switzerland. After having spent the weekend at the Seeburghof, I can highly recommend booking a stay like this to anyone wanting to experience a way of life that is close to nature.
Staying in a lovingly furnished cabin at the Ferme de la Corbière was a uniquely wonderful experience. The protected zone around the farm is just waiting to be explored, while also being the perfect place to relax. I really loved getting close to nature and the history of the area.
We spent a wonderful night on the farm at Gîte rural La Bergerie in Courchavon and experienced farm life at its finest with Switzerland Tourism.
One afternoon, as other guests went hiking and owners returned to their farm duties, we had the place to ourselves. We sat in the sun drinking local wine, overlooking the vineyards and the mountains - it was perfect!
Suddenly coming face to face with all the animals from our picture books was a genuine highlight. We also showed our daughter where our food comes from and how much passion goes into making it.
One of the best places we have ever stayed as a family. Be sure to ask if you can take the horses out to the Dragon’s Cave – it’s absolutely fantastic!
This is a very relaxing and revitalising place. An ideal way to enjoy the mountains. I will definitely come back to explore more hiking trails.
