Les Bains de la Gruyère

Les Bains de la Gruyère is a thermal and adventure pool in the heart of Charmey. Here, you will be treated to indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna and hammam. The mineral-rich thermal water is up to 34 degrees, depending on the season. The outdoor pool is particularly mystical in winter, when the water is steaming and snow can be seen on the mountains.
Local mountain of Vounetz
The
Vounetz (or in French: Vounetse) is the ideal excursion destination for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. From Charmey, the gondola lift will take you directly to the summit. At 1,626 metres up, you can hike, climb and cycle, and in winter you can ski. The highlight here is the
ziplines, that will allow you to fly down into the valley below. At the middle station, eleven high ropes courses await you: ranging from easy to challenging.

Not far from Charmey is
Lake Gruyère, an ideal spot for water sports. In Broc, a visit to the
Maison Cailler chocolate factory is well worthwhile. Another highlight is the
Jaunbach Gorge, with its rock galleries, bridges and tunnels. Top excursion destinations also include the medieval town of
Gruyères and its
castle, and the
Schwarzsee lake and the primeval landscape of Brecca.
