Annual concerts 2026 of the Frohsinn-Cäcilia choir in Interlaken Castle Church
For over 160 years, the Frohsinn-Cäcilia choir has been committed to bringing classical music to its audience. Concerts are therefore held every year with selected works by well-known and sometimes lesser-known classical composers.
The 40 or so singers are looking forward to doing this again this year. With the Hymn (Dich preist, Allmächtiger) and the Theme and Variations (for trumpet and orchestra) by Albert Lortzing and the Messa di Gloria by Giacomo Puccini, works have been selected that invite you to listen and discover.
This year's program builds a fascinating bridge between the worlds of the German Albert Lortzing and the Italian Giacomo Puccini, who were both in their early twenties when they wrote these pieces.
