Since 1901, the Umbrail Road has wound its way through the Alps and is regarded as an impressive feat of engineering that continues to connect cultures and people to this day. On May 30, 2026, the municipality of Val Müstair, together with local associations, invites you to celebrate this anniversary in style.
The focus is on 125 years of eventful history—from the opening through the formative years of 1914–1918 to the present day. Following last year’s grand 200th anniversary of the Stelvio Pass, Switzerland’s highest pass now takes center stage.
