Overview
Intro
Every 1 August, the Town Hall Square is transformed into a huge funfair from 10am to 4pm, with entertainment for young and old alike, concerts and street performances.
After a more formal start to the day, with official speeches and morning serenades by the La Gérondine Municipal Band, it’s time for some fun!
Carousels, trampolines, slides and bouncy castles there’s something for all ages and tastes. Whilst some will be having their faces painted, others can discover the art of flag-throwing with Natal Borgeat, accompanied by the sound of the alphorn.
Programme:
11.00 am – Start of the event (opening of the small funfair and entertainment)
11.30 am – Official speech by Steve Morabito
12.00 pm – Concert by the Gérondine Municipal Band
1.00 pm – Alpine horn (Cor’Alpes) street performance and flag-throwing (Natal Borgeat)
1.30 pm – Introduction to flag-throwing (in front of the stage)
2.15 pm – Flag-throwing demonstration featuring the participants + Alpine horn
4.00 pm – End of the event
