À la fois marchandises de luxe et marque extérieure de statut social, ils protégeaient contre le froid et les courants d’air, créaient une atmosphère douillette et donnaient aux intérieurs de la couleur et de l’éclat. La Fondation Abegg présente dans sa nouvelle exposition temporaire des tentures, des rideaux, des coussins et des couvertures, réalisés de main de maître, qui offrent une image vivante de la culture domestique de l’époque.
