Intro
The classic hike to the Gorda hut which is situated on a gentle, sunny plateau and offers spectacular views of the Adula massif and the entire Valle del Sole. The ascent leads through an enchanted forest and past snow-covered stone huts.
Description
The route departs from Camperio on the right side of the Brenno del Lucomagno, which meanders through the valley from the south side of the Lukmanier pass and then joins the Brenno at Olivone. After a short, straight stretch, the trail bends to the left, crosses the river and follows a winding forest road, climbing gently through an enchanted fir forest.
Gradually, you gain height and are able to enjoy an idyllic view of the mountains opposite. In Sgianaresc, the path narrows and turns into a mere trail, leading past several snow-covered stone huts, which creates a magical atmosphere.
The panorama gradually widens and you reach the open pastures of the Gorda mountains, where the hut of the same name is located. Even in winter, it is almost always accessible and offers a well-deserved rest. From here, you have a spectacular view of the mountain range and the entire valley beneath. If you don't want to go back the same way, you can rent a sledge from the Gorda hut or use the Gorda Express.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
