Trail running with your private guide

Group runs are great, as long as you don’t constantly feel like you’re holding everyone back. Or the other way around. With a private tour, that problem doesn’t exist: the route, distance, and pace are all tailored to you. Taking walking breaks uphill isn’t a failure—it’s trailrunning. **How it works** **1. State your goal:** Tell us where you want to run, how much experience you have, and what you hope to get out of the run. A specific goal is welcome, but a vague idea is fine too. **2. Receive a proposal:** You’ll get a suitable route, including an alternative for bad weather, plus a non-binding offer outlining all costs. **3. Hit the trail:** You’ll receive a packing list in advance; your guide handles navigation and safety. You can focus solely on running and the view. **Ideas for your run** The step from forest paths onto alpine trails—without group pressure and with someone who knows the way. Exploring a new region without checking your phone every five minutes. Getting to know the route of your first trail event in advance, at your own pace. Or a multi-day traverse from hut to hut with light luggage. If you like, your guide can give you tips on uphill and downhill running technique along the way. Your guide is based in the Valais, but happy to travel to your favorite Alpine region. **How the price is calculated** **Guiding:** CHF 550 per day for one person, CHF 650 per day for 2 to 4 people. The price is per group, so for four people it’s significantly cheaper per person. **Adjustments:** The daily rate may vary depending on the length of the run, difficulty, conditions, and duration of the engagement. **Guide’s expenses:** Travel by car CHF 0.70 per km or public transport as required, plus mountain railway tickets and any overnight stays for the guide. **Your own costs:** Travel, mountain railways, meals, and accommodation. **Optional:** Professional action photos of you running, CHF 500 per day for unrestricted use. Everything is clearly laid out in writing before you decide. Small tip: Runs in the Valais mean particularly low travel costs for the guide. **Your guide** Falko Burghausen from beAnywhere is a Swiss Athletics Trailrunning Instructor, trainee mountain hiking guide, and internationally awarded landscape photographer.
