Your dream hike with a private guide

Sometimes no advertised tour fits. The date doesn’t work, the route isn’t right, or you simply don’t want to hike with strangers. Then it’s time for a custom-made adventure. **How it works** **1. Share your wish:** Tell us what you’d like, how much experience you have, and when you’re free. A concrete goal is welcome, a vague idea just as good. **2. Receive a proposal:** You’ll get a suitable route and a non-binding offer listing all costs. **3. Set off:** You’ll receive a packing list and preparation tips in advance; your guide handles navigation and safety. You decide the pace and breaks. **Ideas for your tour** A panoramic hike with plenty of views and no rush. The summit that’s been on your mind for ages, but you don’t want to tackle it alone. A multi-day hut tour with accommodation and meals already arranged. Or a winter walk when fog hangs in the valley and the sun shines above. Your guide is based in the Valais, but can also take you to the Prealps, eastern Switzerland, or your favorite region. **How the price is calculated** **Guiding:** CHF 550 per day for one person, CHF 650 per day for 2–4 people. The price applies per group, so for four it’s significantly cheaper per person. **Adjustments:** Depending on difficulty, conditions, and duration, the daily rate may vary; multi-day tours come with a reduced rate. **Guide’s expenses:** Travel by car CHF 0.70 per km or public transport as incurred, plus mountain railway tickets and any overnight stays. **Your own costs:** Travel, mountain railways, meals, and accommodation. Everything is spelled out in black and white before you commit. Small tip: For tours in the Valais, the guide’s travel costs are especially low. **Your guide** Falko Burghausen of beAnywhere is a trainee mountain guide, Swiss Athletics Trailrunning Instructor, and internationally awarded landscape photographer.
