Take the hiking trail from Axalp above Brienz to the idyllic Hinterburgsee lake and watch the chips fly!
Eight wood carvers will leave their shops, take their tools and work outdoors. They will take wood felt by avalanches and turn it into figures of animals, plants and mountains. What fun to meet these artists at work and watch their sculptures take shape! Once the chipping stops, the final works will stay on display, adding to the charm of a hiking trail that is already popular in its own right.
