In the footsteps of Lucy Walker
Overview
Intro
A weekend at the foot of the Matterhorn, where a pioneering Englishwoman once made history.
In 1871, Lucy Walker became the first woman to climb the Matterhorn. She was a pioneering spirit with a strong personality and started her legendary tour from the Hotel Monte Rosa. That hotel is now run by two women. Simone Seiler and Katharina Camenzind, together with their team, will show visitors around Zermatt past and present from a female perspective. Participants will go on a guided hike tailored to their fitness level. Finally, in a course with a cook, they will prepare a local dish for an enjoyable dinner.
