Mürren

The small village is the starting point for trips up the Schilthorn, an impressive mountain that is often forgotten in favour of the Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönch. At 1,650 metres above sea level, Mürren is the highest settlement in the canton of Bern that is inhabited year round. And the fact that it’s car-free makes it all the more pleasant.
