In the Bergell you can find out everything there is to know about sweet chestnuts: from the tree itelf to the harvest and finally the end product. Autumn is the most beautiful time for walking in the Bergell. The wonderful chestnut-tree forest, a park with huge trees, is located on the gently sloping terrace above Castasegna. The crowns of the trees are intertwined and create spacious columned halls that feel as imposing as a cathedral. The picturesque old village of Soglio is situated on a terrace-shaped slope above the valley and offers unique views of the Bondasca.
Five panels give the visitor a general overview of chestnut forests and sweet chestnuts.
