CGN (Compagnie générale de navigation sur le Léman) has been an emblematic figure on Lake Geneva and for the whole region since it was founded in 1873. With its 17 boats, it is the largest cruise company in French-speaking Switzerland and the second largest in Switzerland. Its Belle Époque fleet of 8 paddle steamers, unique in the world, is of inestimable value from a historical point of view, but also for the touristic reputation of the whole region. It was listed as a historic monument of national importance on 17 June 2011.
