Intro
In autumn, when the leaves are turning and the grapes are ripening, a gourmand hike may well be the thing to do in the Conthey region.
You may try the local wine and taste traditional treats like smoked trout, sucking lamb, alpine cheese, and homemade pastries. A sure way to please your stomach, but that's not all! You may also learn much about the different vines, wine growing, the climate, fauna and flora, as well as the geology of the region.
At the end of your journey, you will know all about 25 different vines, in terms of origin, cultivation and wine making. (approx. 3 hours, 6 km, 34 signposts)
