Elm Giant Forest
Overview
Intro
The adventure trail in the Giant Forest near Elm stimulates one’s motor skills, senses and awareness of nature. Heaps of fun awaits at Martin’s Hole.
It’s only a small giant step from the Ämpächli cable car station to the "Giant Forest". The adventure course with its 17 stations takes you through forest and across fields. The little giants can scramble through Martin’s Hole, listen to the tree with the big ears or make their own stone music with the lithophone. You will need every one of your five senses here in the Giant Forest.
In the company of Martin the giant, and Sardona the giant of the giants, children learn about the old legends of Martin’s Hole in fresh new ways. They also learn about the UNESCO Tectonic Arena Sardona World Heritage Site and have their awareness of nature enhanced.
It takes about 1.5 hours to cover the 2-kilometre circular trail which starts and ends at the Ämpächli mountain restaurant. There are several barbecue sites along the way.
