Intro

Special exhibition Museum Herisau "From blackboard to touchscreen. Education in Appenzell Ausserrhoden since 1800"

The cantonal school regulations of 1805 laid the foundation for the development of the elementary school as we know and appreciate it today. Structures, teaching methods and learning materials have been continuously developed since then. The special exhibition provides a variety of insights into the development of the educational landscape in Appenzell Ausserrhoden.
