The last rose
Overview
Intro
Classical music concert
Step into the musical world of late seventeenth-century England with a rare programme devoted to Anthony Poole, Henry Purcell, John Blow and Tobias Hume. Mathilde Vialle, Thibaut Roussel, American tenor Zachary Wilder and Ronan Khalil on the virginal recreate the intimate atmosphere of period ensembles. This is a unique opportunity to discover works long hidden from view, brought to light in an exceptional manuscript held by the Bibliothèque nationale de France, and to share a special moment at the heart of seventeenth-century English music.
