Anybody who is not familiar with the situation is a bit puzzled when skiers arrive in Beckenried in full gear – by boat, no less! The journey from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne is without doubt the most extraordinary arrival at a Swiss ski resort. Ten minutes later by cable car and then after a short ascent with snow shoes or touring skis, the freeriding fun begins, away from all the hustle and bustle.
