Ultrasound
Ultrasound examinations are commonplace in everyday medicine.
They can be carried out quickly and safely and generally do not cause any side effects. Ultrasound methods are used not only to diagnose, but also monitor what’s going on during a procedure. Commonly examined areas include the abdominal organs (kidneys, spleen, liver), the heart, blood vessels or joints. In gynaecology, the uterus, ovaries and breasts are examined, as well as regular antenatal checks.
