Overview

The Hotel Restaurant Adler is located in the village centre of Linthal, at the foot of the Klausen Pass and is family-run by Ana and Peter Welter.

Hotel
15 guest rooms, all with two single beds, private shower and toilet, TV and free Wi-Fi. On request with balcony or terrace on the south side.
Prices include breakfast and guest tax:
Double room for 2 people CHF 170.00
Double room for single use CHF 140.00
Single room CHF 120.00
Surcharge balcony/terrace south side CHF 20.00
The guest tax is included in the price and thus also the Glarus Country Pass with free public transport throughout the canton of Glarus.
Check-in from 4:00 p.m., check-out until 10:00 a.m. Arrival outside opening hours by arrangement – if you arrive on Friday or Sunday, guests will receive the room key digitally or via the key box after prepayment.
Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Restaurant
Swiss cuisine, Glarus specialties and homemade cordon bleus.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 85 people, the Adlerstübli for another 30 people. The Adlergarten behind the house is a quiet garden terrace for up to 25 people.

Lunch service 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Evening service 17:30–19:00 hrs
Sunday only lunch service 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Friday closed
Breakfast daily 08:00–10:00, earlier by arrangement.
For the evening service, we ask you to reserve a table.
For groups of 10 or more people, we have a choice of a maximum of three menus, reservations at least three days in advance. Hotel guests eat in the evening at the half-board price of CHF 30.00.
Payment: Cash in francs and euros as well as contactless with debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and TWINT.

Arrival and parking
By car via the A3 to the Niederurnen/Glarus exit, then on the main road 17 to Linthal. In front of the house there is a large parking lot available, also for coaches. Bicycles can be safely parked. By train to Linthal, from there 15 minutes on foot.

Surroundings
Linthal is the starting point for hikes, mountain tours, paragliding and motorbike tours over the Klausen Pass. The funicular to the car-free Braunwald runs directly from Linthal. Nearby are the Berglistüber, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Switzerland, as well as the high mountain destinations of Limmerensee and Muttsee. In winter, toboggan runs, winter hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides from Braunwald beckon.
