Description

Built in 1965 by Henri Anzévui and Cathy Gaspoz, the hotel has since been run by their daughter Claudia and her husband Michel, who have invested all their passion for refurbishing and renovating into the family business. The owners, the family Anzévui Métrailler, are delighted to extend a warm welcome to guests in Haudères, where courtesy and service are our watchwords! We guarantee you will enjoy a stay brimming with comfort and conviviality with us in the mountains. The hotel is a typical example of the architecture particular to this region and the panelling, traditional stone and warm décor bring an especial charm to the house. In summer, guests can enjoy the sunny terrace and admire the facades decorated with flowers.

Situated at 1,450 m above sea level, the cosy 3-star hotel has been run for three generations by the same family. The hostess herself entertains guests with her accordion. Some of the nine modern country-style rooms offer terraces and sitting corners. The extensive breakfast also includes jams based on grandmother’s recipe, and the restaurant offers raclette, fresh brown trout, regional dishes and a selection of wines from the Valais. Outdoor spa area with hot tub, Jacuzzi and barrel sauna.

Getting there

The hotel des Mélèzes is situated 25 minutes from the Sion East exit off the A9 motorway, at the heart of the Valais Alps. Our establishment is in the Hérens Valley, le Val d’Hérens, just before the peaceful village of Haudères. It is also possible to reach the village by post bus, which leaves from Sion in the direction of ‘Les Haudères’.
