Description

Castle Hünigen located between Bern and Thun is a hotel with charm and plush elegance. Nestled in a lovely park with old mature trees and over 3500 rose bushes, the hotel offers relaxation and inspiration. The 400 years old house has already experienced its milestones, one of them in 2013 with an extensive reconstruction: a large part of the rooms have been redesigned and the main building with the restaurant Rosarium, seminar and banquet rooms as well as the new castle bar appears in a fresh radiance. The exquisitely designed rooms offer the guest a place of stylish retreat. Equipped with a modern bathroom, desk and digital TV with radio and alarm clock, some with balcony or terrace, they are true oases. The kitchen in the castle serves culinary delicacies – in the summer on the terrace with views over the romantic park and rose garden.

The historical Von May Hall and modern Haller room enjoy views of the beautiful castle gardens and are the perfect place to celebrate your special day. Schloss Hünigen near Bern is perfect for a wedding reception tailored to the bridal couple’s wishes.

Seminar Hotel

Historic 16th century castle nestled in magnificent parkland. Light and airy, well-equipped seminar rooms for 10 to 250 people - the Scharnachtal Pavilion in the Park. Creative activities such as flag throwing, motorbike tours, wine tasting, archery, torchlight hikes, and milk can fondue. 27 boutique rooms in the castle, the 22 comfortable rooms in the new wing have direct access to the park grounds or a balcony. Just 20 minutes from Bern and Thun.

Getting there

Access by car: leave the motorway at the Rubigen/Münsingen exit, follow the signposts to Münsingen and continue to Konolfingen. In the centre turn right to Stalden and turn left to the castle after 700m. Access by public transport: from Bern: by SBB (Swiss Federal Railways) to Konolfingen, change trains and continue by RHB in the direction of Thun. from Thun or Burgdorf: direct train to Stalden (stop on request!).
