Torrenthorn – above the thermal baths
Intro
The Valais four-thousanders stand nicely to attention on the southern horizon - And visitors spending the night at the mountain guesthouse by the Torrenthorn Rinderhütte witness the summit world in a very special light.
A cable car takes over the first 900-meter climb from Leukerbad to the Rinderhütte, from where views are simply amazing. This is followed by a further 685 meters to the summit vantage point – but every step of the way is worth it!
Alpaca trekking is a familiar sight on this Alp, together with Disc-Golf and thrilling downhill descents with monster scooters. The Torrent mountain station is also your starting point for the 4-hour panoramic hike over the Resti Pass to the Lauchernalp in the Lötschental valley.
