A ski safari in St. Moritz
Overview
Intro
Winter sports enthusiasts are spoilt for choice in the Engadin region! So many places to go, slopes to enjoy and views to admire – you won’t want your time there to end. The solution? How about a snow safari? On this ski trip you will clock up an impressive 4,444 metres in altitude and more than 40km of slopes, while also taking in the best lookout points.
Anyone who comes to the Upper Engadin for the skiing or snowboarding will know this already, and newcomers should be warned in advance: the choice of pistes is enormous, with each as inviting as the next. What a lot of people don’t know, however, is that the snow safari lets you combine the best of the ski resorts of St. Moritz, Corvatsch and Corviglia – and all in a single day.
The snow safari takes guests right through both ski regions. The trip covers 4,444 metres in altitude and more than 40km of slopes. The prominent 3000m peaks of Piz Corvatsch and Piz Nair are the two highlights of the route – but by no means the only impressive sights. It can be difficult to keep your focus on the amazing slopes on this ski tour at times. Since the mountain chains and glaciers are quite stunning, as are the views of the snow-covered lakes of the Upper Engadin in the valley far below. The newly established photo spots ensure that you don’t miss these most epic of vistas.
Even culinary delights are not forgotten on this ski safari. A slice of the local nut tart and intoxicating views of the highest peak in Graubünden, Piz Corvatsch, a delicious meal of spaghetti on the nearby 3000m peak, Piz Nair, or a coffee in the late afternoon sun on the terrace of the Glünetta restaurant just before the descent into the valley. You may be tired when you reach the valley below, but you certainly won’t be hungry.
