Intro

The generously designed golf course is an integral part of the Ursern Valley. While it offers a welcome challenge for golfers, nature lovers enjoy the nature reserves and the opportunity to observe flora and fauna.

Golfing on the Andermatt Golf Course is doubly demanding. The course is longer than average and the water hazards and bunkers make it exciting. But that alone is not what forces the golfer to pause. It is the spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, the cows and yaks grazing right next to the holes, the clear mountain air and the Furkareuss river, which flows parallel to the course towards the Unterland. The concentration needed for a successful tee shot can suffer a bit. Or you take a little more time to look for a ball in the rough because you want to take in the surroundings. Thanks to the relaxed 12-minute tee time intervals, you can allow yourself those few moments of indulgence.

In harmony with nature

The Andermatt Golf Course was planned with foresight and care was taken during construction to ensure that it meets the most demanding ecological standards. It is operated in an environmentally friendly manner and offers plenty of space for sports, wildlife and plants. Independent monitoring confirms the ecological added value of the golf course. For example, many different dragonfly species have found their way here and have remained. Likewise, endangered bird species, especially ground-nesting birds, have found a new home in the extensively used meadows around the golf course.

With its length of six kilometers, the Andermatt Golf Course is the longest 18-hole championship golf course and is harmoniously embedded in nature. It has received several awards and was one of the first golf courses in Switzerland to receive the internationally recognized GEO certification and meets or even exceeds all criteria in the areas of nature conservation, resource management and social integration.
