Delocazione
Delocazione – which means "displacement" in Italian – consists of spatialised imprints. The work shows ghost images of the shapes of pictures on the walls of a room that are covered in soot. In order to create this work, the artist burned tyres inside an enclosed space. The smoke spread out and was then deposited on the walls of the enclosed space. The imprints left by objects that were previously hung on the wall – pictures, in this case – appear when the objects are removed.
