René Burri, an artist as well as a photo-reporter, was still a student when he began his attempts to track down the myth of Le Corbusier. From 1955 onwards, he portrayed the architect in a wide variety of working situations and everyday settings: in the builders' shack, Le Corbusier shows his construction plans to the Dominican fathers at the monastery of La Tourette, Eveux-sur-Arbresle.
