The Thermal Spring Footbridge – Dala Gorge Leukerbad at a glance
The thermal spring footbridge leads on a steel structure about 600 meters through the Dala Gorge near Leukerbad. A few meters above the stream bed, warm springs emerge from the rock. Brown rust streaks on the rock walls indicate the iron content of the thermal water. From the village square Leukerbad it is a 15-minute walk to the entrance at the Heilbadbrücke.
What to experience
Circular hike through the Dala Gorge to Lake Majing (2 hours)
Follow the footbridge into the gorge and crank warm thermal water out of the spring with a rope pull. Via the suspension bridge you reach the 35-meter-high waterfall. Here, steep stairs lead out of the gorge. Through the forest it goes to the barbecue area at the Majingsee at 1663 meters. You hike back in the shade of the forest.
- Good to know: The path to the waterfall is barrier-free.
- Tip: Wear sturdy shoes and take barbecue food with you for the fireplace by the lake.
