Intro
In winter, the pond near Aadorf transforms into a natural ice rink.
Each year, young and old wait for the ice pond (also known as Iisweier) in Hinterthurgau to freeze over. Head on to the frozen water on ice skates or even normal shoes. The pond is to the north of the village, close to the hamlet of Weiern at 501 metres above sea level. A log cabin, seating area and fire pit can be found nearby.
