A unique place for lovers of Swiss cheese culture has been created between the old monastery walls. Here you can discover regional cheeses and handmade farm products from the Engelberg Valley. The integrated bistro guarantees some moments of pleasure with cheese, wine or coffee.
The Mitmach – Chäsi (interactive cheese dairy) offers almost unobstructed insights into cheese production.
The range of cheeses at the monastery in Engelberg includes specialities from the region as well as from the monastery's own production. The cheeses from the Alps around Engelberg are particularly highly valued. There is also a wide range of cheeses from selected dairies to discover. The monastery bakery offers cakes and fresh bread, products from regional farms and food manufacturers from all over Switzerland.
The monastery offers entertaining and educational workshops on a range of cheese-related topics for groups, clubs and companies.
The bistro invites you to enjoy a bite to eat. In addition to fondue, raclette and cheesecake, there are other delicacies to try, with or without cheese.
