Women Artisans
Overview
Intro
Nineteen craftswomen, nineteen crafts, nineteen workshops.
Nineteen women artisans, nineteen crafts, nineteen workshops. Writer Blaise Hofmann and photographer Vincent Guignet set out to meet nineteen women from French-speaking Switzerland who are passionate about their craft: a blacksmith, a glassblower, a saddle maker, a quilter, a luthier, an organ builder, a tattoo artist, a weaver…
What unites these artisans is a joy in the craft, in the present moment, and in daily creation, following in the footsteps of traditions that are sometimes thousands of years old. With a contagious joy for discovery and connection, Blaise Hofmann and Vincent Guignet open the doors to these rare places—true treasure troves where every object is one-of-a-kind.
