From June 13 - 15, 2025, the Middle Ages will come alive in the streets and squares of Appenzell.

Music will once again be played at three festival sites and in various restaurants in the village center of Appenzell at the beginning of August.

In the fall, when the farmers return from the Alps with their cows, the cattle shows take place in Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Prizes are awarded for the most beautiful and best performing cows.

Every third Sunday before Easter, large bonfires are piled up and lit in Appenzell and various villages around the canton's capital to drive away the winter.

Immer am dritten Sonntag vor Ostern werden in Appenzell grosse Feuerstösse aufgeschichtet und angezündet, um damit den Winter zu vertreiben.

Alljährlich am letzten Sonntag im April (Pandemiezeiten ausgenommen) versammeln sich alle stimmberechtigten Frauen und Männer mit Wohnsitz in Appenzell I.Rh.
