A Musical Journey from Traditional to International: “Appenzell Ost” Performs at resonanzraum
As part of the “Im Spiel sein” event series, vielklang presents a very special concert at resonanzraum, Alte Mühle, Wolfhalden.
The guest ensemble is “Appenzell Ost.” What sounds like a geographic destination is actually the name of an up-and-coming young group: With a relaxed, curious attitude and great musicality, Christa Kölbener (hammered dulcimer), Damian Neff (violin), and Martin Fässler (bass) bring a breath of fresh air to the traditional string music scene.
The trio captivates audiences with a diverse repertoire ranging from refined traditional pieces to surprisingly international sounds. With openness and curiosity, the three musicians look far beyond the canton’s borders and invite the audience on an inspiring musical journey that will linger in their memories.
