Intro

Im Zentrum der Oper Giulio Cesare in Egitto von Georg Friedrich Händel stehen Macht und Verführung.

In der Vokaloper Apocalypse des Bündner Komponisten Gion Antoni Derungs nach einem Libretto von Giovanni Netzer offenbaren sich die schaurigen Träume des Sehers Johannes, der sein Seelenleben in surreale Bildwelten fasst. Die apokalyptischen Reiter bringen Krieg und Verderben, die Stadt Rom erscheint darin als gierige Grossmacht und erinnert an zeitgenössisches Kriegsgebaren. – Clau Scherrer dirigiert Origens Vokalensemble, Samuel Streiff gibt den Seher.
