ROLS Quartet – the quartet is formed by Ticino violinist Oliver Barta, concertmaster of the Jugend Sinfonieorchester Zürich – partner orchestra of the Tonhalle Zurich, Raphael Nussbaumer, a violin student at the prestigious Hanns Eisler Academy in Berlin, and Laurent Bourquin and Salome Steinmann, both students at the Zurich Conservatory. All four are first-prize winners at the Swiss Youth Music Competition and have received numerous awards at international competitions.
The quartet performed in 2024 and 2025 at the Festival 4 Saisons in Lausanne, in the renowned Salle Paderewski, and this year will perform in Budapest at the historic Franz Liszt Academy of Music.
At the concert in Lugano, the quartet will present masterpieces of the Romantic chamber music repertoire, marked by great expressive intensity.
