slowUp Vallée de Joux

Intro
On the first Sunday of July, 23 km of roads around Lake Joux are closed to motorised traffic.
As a national campaign to promote alternative forms of transport, the idea behind slowUp is simple: to close a road to motorised traffic for a day dedicated to cyclists, roller bladers and walkers. The one thing the 18 Swiss participating regions have in common is their beautiful landscape, which is well worth slowing down for and taking your time.
During the Vallée de Joux slowUp, participants on foot, bikes or roller blades have free access to the 23 km car-free route around Lake Joux. Starting from Le Pont, L’Abbaye or Le Sentier, everyone can choose their own itinerary, travelling in a clockwise direction.
Bike rental, entertainment and typical regional dishes complete this popular, healthy and fun event for the whole family!
