The second group combines biking and hiking. We’ll arrange rental bikes for you—so we’ll ride leisurely along the Maggia River toward Verscio before hiking uphill on exciting trails.
On the way back, a short stop at Ponte Brolla is a must—where the Maggia River winds its way impressively through the rocks.
In the afternoon, we’ll meet up again in Ascona, and of course, a group dinner at a typical Ticino restaurant is a must.
Day 2 – Panoramic Trails on Cardada
After breakfast, the boat takes us from Ascona to Locarno. From there, we take the mountain railway to Cardada, where one of the region’s most impressive panoramas unfolds before us.
We set out on our circular hikes toward Cimetta along scenic trails.
One group will take a mountain hiking trail (T3), while the other will follow a slightly more alpine route (T4). The groups might even meet along the way before we wrap up the weekend with a leisurely stop for refreshments.
Afterward, participants will make their own way home from Locarno.
