Intro

A photographic, audio, and educational journey dedicated to the wildlife of the Jura Vaudois Regional Nature Park.

Échos Sauvages is a photographic, sound-based and educational trail dedicated to the wildlife of the Jura vaudois Regional Nature Park. This open-air exhibition, accessible to everyone, is presented by the Venobia association from May 3 to August 23, 2026, in the gardens of the Château de L’Isle. It explores the relationship we maintain with nature and uses photography and sound as a metaphor for an echo, capturing fleeting moments that remind us of the beauty and fragility of the world around us.

By discovering large-format images of the red deer, chamois, tawny owl, capercaillie, kingfisher and red fox, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of these animals—symbols of the region’s rich and distinctive biodiversity. Each photograph is accompanied by an educational panel presenting the animal’s physical characteristics, behaviour, habitat, diet and other biological features. The educational trail also includes numerous tips and practical guidance to encourage harmonious coexistence with wildlife while contributing to its preservation.

The addition of a narrative dimension, featuring the testimony of wildlife photographer Guillaume Pasche, orchestrated by composer and sound artist Organ Mug, enhances the exhibition’s immersive experience and transports visitors into the intensity of these captured moments of life. The project is complemented by a playful quiz illustrated by Justine Garnier, freely accessible recordings of the species’ calls, and a programme of activities encouraging discovery, imagination and collective creativity.
