Description
Ambience:
The mountain restaurant knows how to satisfy a large appetite. So, take a good look at the menu before ordering, unless, of course, you have cleaned out two stables and cleared the snow off the roof of three farmhouses before your meal.
Location:
Located at an altitude of 1,907 metres at the Allmendhubel, at the lower part of the ski area at the foot of the Schilthorn. With brilliant views over the north face of the Bernese Alps, including the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
Cuisine:
Wholesome food: potato soup, cheese and dried meat platters, choice of sandwiches, tuna or salmon baguette, spaghetti Bolognese or Napoli, Rösti with bacon and fried egg, pork schnitzel or pork sausage with chips and a salad, cheese fondue, raclette. Every Thursday evening, there is a fondue get-together (CHF 35 per person including funicular ticket).
