The picturesque Old Town of Zug, with its bay windows, colorful facades and narrow alleys, presents an idyllic picture indeed. Yet the history of this small city by the lake has been much more turbulent than this tranquil sight suggests today.
A guided tour of the Old Town is the perfect way to learn about the main historical events, the highlights and the disasters during the city’s history. Visit the distinctive Zytturm clock tower, the town hall with its Gothic Hall, the Gunpowder Tower, the Late Gothic St. Oswald's Church and the old ossuary. There are many surprises in store for you on this tour, and you will learn why life in the Old Town was once anything but attractive. A guided tour takes 90 minutes and costs CHF 140 excl. per group up to 25 people. Zug Tourism will be happy to assist you with your reservation.
