Intro
With its gentle hills stretching as far as the Magadino plain, the Bellinzona e Valli region is packed with historical highlights. A leisurely e-bike tour through this impressive landscape is a particularly tempting prospect, especially when combined with the opportunity to sample the regional cuisine.
The Quintour brings together the loveliest things in Ticino: the beautiful landscape, a pleasant round trip and a host of regional specialities – the very essence of la dolce vita. The e-bike tour takes you to the famous castles of Bellinzona, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and on to the famine towers. The five remaining towers are part of the former fortress. They were built in the second half of the 19th century as a work creation project to combat the oncoming famine.
The Quintour offers a simpler solution for dealing with those hunger pangs, however: a rucksack containing a lunch pack featuring local produce. After the tour of the surrounding hills and lush vineyards, a generous aperitif awaits.
