Overview
Intro
A versatile excursion for the whole family: silence will await the hikers between the spruces, action can be found afterwards in the skiing region and the conclusive visit of the local history museum or the Arosa Bear Sanctuary will be informative – always accompanied by the impressive panorama.
Description
A nice walk leads initially through the dreamy spruce forest up to the middle station of the Cable car Arosa-Weisshorn. On the first part of this hike, one enjoys a wonderful view in direction of Medergen, in the west of the Strela chain.
From the calm of the woods, one gets directly into the vivid skiing region, where kids make their first turns in the snow. The Arosa Bear Sanctuary, at the midway station, has also been open to visitors since 2018. During winter, you can watch the bears as they hibernate. The bearkeepers offer fascinating insights into these animals' lives.
Further, the path leads amidst through the winter sports area, past the local history museum until the hikers finally reach the village in Innerarosa. The local history museum teaches one everything about the past of the mountain village – the perfect activity in case it snows. Along the path, various restaurants and mountain huts offer great possibilities to treat oneself to a delicious snack.
