Bargis-Rundweg
Overview
Intro
A dream for families and leisure hikers: this easy circuit just under three kilometres long crosses the quiet, car-free plateau of Bargis, following the Aua da Mulins stream amid the resplendent mountain scenery.
Description
Nestling between the limestone walls of the Flimserstein and the steep slopes of Lavadignas at an altitude of around 1,150 metres, the magnificent plateau of Bargis can be easily reached by shuttle bus from Flims post office. The car-free valley offers guaranteed snow and is traversed by the Aua da Mulins mountain stream.
Forming the natural boundary between the municipalities of Trin and Flims, the stream also accompanies most of the winter hiking trail. At Bargis, the Aua da Mulins flows into the Turniglabach, which in turn flows all the way down to Trin Mulin. The water bodies are crossed twice by the hiking trail in the exact places where they merge. Far from the hustle and bustle, the route then runs further into the valley on the right-hand side of the stream. It changes direction at Alp Bargis, crosses the stream again and follows it back on the other side to the starting point.
The flat, circular route is particularly suited to families and older people. It offers wonderful scenery in the shape of the surrounding mountain range.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
