Grüsch-Danusa-Panoramaweg
Overview
Intro
The panorama winter hiking trail with impressive views into the Rhine valley, to the Prättigau and the Bündner Dolomites is on the plateau in the middle of the family friendly ski area Grüsch-Danusa.
Description
The panorama winter hiking trail starts at the «Berghaus Schwänzelegg» on the Danusa plateau at 1800 meters above sea level. It can easily be reached by gondola.
The view into the mountains is changing about every 500 meters as you are hiking. Depending on your location you can see the Rhine valley, the stylish Klosters or the Silvretta mountains. The culmination certainly is the panorama of the majestic Rätikon. These impressive mountains are the border to the Austrian Montafon. Often called the Bündner Dolomites (Grison Dolomites) for the characteristic peaks, steep sides and ruggedness which resemble the Dolomite Alps.
The long and beautiful panorama loop on the mostly snow covered plateau can be shortened conveniently.
